Repair a tied fringe on a Balmy towel

You washed and dried your new Turkish towel but noticed some frayed fringes. It may seem like a big issue, BUT DON'T WORRY YET.

Turkish towels have a history long before washing machines and dryers. A delicate machine cycle and low-temperature drying help preserve the cotton and fringes, but they can still unravel.

When using your Turkish towel, the fringes may loosen or come undone over time. To prevent the knots from coming undone, please check the fringes before washing for loose knots and tighten them if necessary.

Remember, Turkish towel fringes are traditionally handmade and can easily be fixed by hand with the right technique. The next 4 steps will guide you.

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE 4 STEPS:

  1. Separate the threads into two equal sections.

  2. Twist each section counterclockwise.

  3. Twist both sections together clockwise.

  4. Tie firmly at the end.
