Colorescience Face Shield Flex is a tinted SPF 50 mineral sunscreen that evens skin tone instantly, with medium coverage you can build to your liking. Its encapsulated iron oxide pigments, visible as tiny flecks of colour in the white cream, are released under your fingertips and adapt to your skin tone. The brand’s EnviroScreen® technology provides broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection and also defends skin against blue light, pollution and infrared.
The texture is light, hydrating and rich in antioxidants. Once blended, it leaves a natural demi-matte finish that blurs small imperfections. One layer gives a fresh complexion; a second, applied a minute later, can stand in for foundation.
Available here in three shades, Fair, Medium and Tan, each designed for a broad range of skin tones and undertones. Water and sweat resistant for 40 minutes, fragrance-free and oil-free, it suits all skin types, sensitive skin included. If you are between two shades, the brand suggests the lighter one.

Directions
Directions from Colorescience
- Fifteen minutes before exposure, dispense at least a nickel-sized amount onto your fingertips and rub gently to release the encapsulated pigments.
- As the shade develops from white to your skin tone, apply to moisturized skin and blend for even coverage.
- The shade is fully developed when the cream is no longer white: allow 1 to 2 minutes for it to adjust.
- For more coverage, wait 1 minute and add a layer; then set with a Total Protection® powder sunscreen or follow with foundation.
- As with any sunscreen, reapply every two hours.
Precautions: this product contains niacinamide (vitamin B3); if you have a known or suspected allergy to it, patch test on the forearm or neck first. Use caution around the eye area and avoid getting the product into the eyes. For children under 6 months, ask a doctor.
